Never Give Up The "Fight" Within- Part II

Leadership In Coaching!

In any moment of decision,
the best thing you can do is the right thing,
the next-best thing is the wrong thing,
and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

-Theodore Roosevelt

You can gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.
- Eleanor Roosevelt

As I was looking for role models in the never give up mentality and "never give up the FIGHT within!" I came across this article. Thought you might enjoy!

In the movie "Training Day" there was an interesting quote when Jake Hoyt was asked about "understanding the streets"

Jake Hoyt: Yeah. You gotta control your smiles and cries, because that's all you have and nobody can take that away from you!

I have been looking for that quote since I watched the movie, kind of harsh and a lot of profanity but pretty down to earth in some of the big cities of this country. But beneath it all, I liked the saying, I kept looking for smiles and frowns but I finally found it, it was a perceptive thought for a young policeman and the veterans had to stop and think about it. Smiles and Cries that is all you have! Sometimes the world, competition, life in general gets down to that Smiles and Cries. I will remember that!

You should not confuse your career with your life.
